Kavita Arvind is a maker and keeper of stories. Her work lies at the fuzzy intersections of art and design. She is an illustrator and design educator, and likes to work with different materials and mediums. She holds an undergraduate degree in Film & Video Communication from the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad and a Master’s in Design In Education from Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology. She has worked on a range of issues from rural health, gender equity, to caste and inclusion. Her work now has grown to include all aspects of communication design with a focus on social design, critical design and speculative design. She is crazy about birds and makes handcrafted bird brooches. She bakes, lifts weights and is mom to one human and two canines.
